Low Cement Castables

The demand for castables with resistance to high temperature, abrasion, and impacts has led to the birth and development of low cement castables that can be applied by vibration techniques. In these high-performance products, an extremely carefully designed particle size distribution and a reduced cement ratio are the most important factors. They have wide areas of use in foundries, iron and steel, cement, aluminum, and petrochemical industries.

Hylow® 50

It is a high-strength, low-cement castable containing 50 Al2O3. It is successfully applied wherever high-temperature abrasion, resistance to erosion and wear, and minimum deformation under load at temperature are required.

Hylow® 60

It is a high-performance, high-strength, low-cement castable. Compared to other castables, its abrasion resistance, hot crushing strength and deformation resistance, friction resistance, and thermal shock resistance are very high. Foundry ladles, induction furnace mouths and covers, delta sections, iron and steel ladles, tundish impact plates, cement flame tubes, nose zones, aluminum ladles and furnaces, refinery catalyst transfer lines and elbows are its main application areas.

Hylow® AN

It is an andalusite-based, high-performance, high-strength, low-cement castable. Compared to other castables, its abrasion resistance and hot crushing strength are very high. Foundry ladles, induction furnace mouths and covers, delta sections, iron and steel ladles, tundish impact plates, cement flame tubes, nose zones, aluminum ladles and furnaces, refinery catalyst transfer lines and elbows are its main application areas.

It is a chromium oxide-based, high-performance, and high-strength low-cement castable. Hylow® 60 SIC 5

It is a 5% silicon carbide-reinforced low-cement castable used in vibration castings. It can be successfully applied where very high resistance to erosion and minimum deformation under load are required.
