Castables

Castables

Castables are dry, granular refractory mixtures that are applied by mixing with water at the installation site with the help of molds. They are particularly very suitable for making shaped materials. They have wide areas of use in the iron and steel industry, foundries, refineries and petrochemical industry, power generation plants, and cement industry. They are used as the main material in furnace linings, burner surrounds, crucibles, baffles, doors, arches, lids, and chimneys.

Hycast®

It is a material with high strength, resistant to water, acid, and chemical effects of gases. It is formulated to be used particularly as a fireproof concrete in furnace surrounds.

Hycast® VE

It is a material with better insulation capability and resistance to abrasion compared to its coarse-grained equivalents. It is used in the aluminum industry in furnace sub-hearth layers, and in the cement and lime industry in cold zones and dust collectors.

Hycast® GP

It is a medium-density material used for general duties.

Hycast® DE

It is a material with high strength, resistant to water, acid, and chemical effects of gases. It is used in the aluminum industry in furnace sub-hearth layers, in cement and lime furnace cold zones, in heat treatment furnaces in furnace bottoms and car tops, in iron and steel furnaces, baffles, flue ducts, blast furnace dust collectors and stove connections, soaking pits and reheating furnaces sub-hearths, and in incineration plants in flue ducts, chimneys, and ash collectors.

Hycast® DALI

It is a high-strength, low-Fe2O3 material that can be used in severe environments containing CO, sulfur, and vanadium. It is resistant to erosion and surface abrasion. Heater bottoms, convection zones, and ash collectors are a few of the places where it is used.

Hycast® 45

It is a material for general-purpose use, resistant to spalling. It is generally used in small industrial furnaces, furnace doors, and chimneys.

Hycast® 50

It is a general-purpose material with low aluminum and metal penetration, resistant to CO attacks. It is used in aluminum melting and holding furnaces, in cement clinker coolers, in foundry crucibles, in heat treatment furnace bottom zones and car tops, and in iron and steel pelletizing furnace waste gas ducts.

Hycast® 60

It can be used in places similar to Hycast® DE. However, it is a material with higher strengths compared to Hycast® DE.

Hycast® CO

It is a medium-density, high-strength material with a low iron ratio. It is especially preferred in environments containing carbon monoxide. It is used in heat treatment furnace bottoms and car tops, in incineration plant combustion chambers, ash collectors, and ducts, in iron and steel coke oven doors and waste gas ducts, in blast furnace wear plates, and in power generation plant furnaces.

Hycast® S

It is a low-iron material with high refractory properties that can be used in general-purpose applications. Molten metal penetration is minimal and it is resistant to CO attacks. It is used in heat treatment furnace combustion chambers and burner throats, in refinery and petrochemistry coal gasification reactors, and in iron and steel small launders, tundish covers, and recuperators.

Hycast® 65

It is a high-strength, 60 alumina, low-iron material. It is particularly resistant to carbon monoxide attacks and metal build-up. Aluminum melting and holding furnaces, foundry crucibles, and all types of furnace combustion chambers are its main application areas.

Hycast® AB

It is a material that shows high strength especially at 800-1000°C, and is resistant to abrasion and erosion. It has a wide area of use in the cement, lime, refinery, and petrochemistry sectors.

Hycast® AL

It is a material specially designed for the aluminum industry. It has high strength at low temperatures.

Hycast® SS

It is a 65 Alumina material that can be used at high temperatures. It is resistant to spills and abrasion, and resistant to molten metal. Combustion chambers, aluminum furnaces, cement rotary kiln burner hoods, foundry crucibles, refinery process furnaces, heaters and boilers, iron and steel tundish and soaking pit covers, and general services are its main application areas.

Hycast® NG

It is a material with very high fracture strength, resistant to heavy loads and thermal shocks. Walking beam furnaces, bottom zones, cyclones and elbows, dust collectors, combustion chambers, and tundishes are its main application areas.

Hycast® 70

Over 70 alumina, it is a material especially resistant to erosion, impact, and spalling. It has wide areas of application in every industry related to heat.

Hycast® 85

Resistant to high temperature, it is a material with high strength values over 80 Alumina. Cement and lime rotary kiln burner hoods, iron and steel walking beam furnaces are its main application areas.

Hycast® 90

90 Alumina based, resistant to abrasion and erosion, low silica content, resistant to metal and slag.

Hycast® 90 Cr

It is a highly resistant concrete containing 90 Alumina, especially against abrasion and erosion caused by slag, metal, and CO gases in the roofs of electric arc furnaces. It is based on tabular alumina and green chromium oxide.

Hycast® 95

It is a high-purity material based on pure tabular alumina with almost no iron and sulfur. Its deformation at temperature is extremely low, and it contains very low silica, being resistant to many metals and slags. It is used in foundries, electric arc furnace roofs, refinery catalyst transfer lines, carbon black reactors, coal gasification reactors, and iron and steel electric arc furnaces.

Hycast® 95 CR

It is a highly resistant concrete containing 95 Alumina, especially against abrasion and erosion caused by slag, metal, and CO gases in the roofs of electric arc furnaces. It is based on tabular alumina and green chromium oxide.

Hycast® 97
